Front pages of the papers today...

This bunny will spend her day reading all 695 front pages of the countries newspapers.

A double edged Sword

Today is both an amazing day and a sad day for Americans. Hopefully, as I get to think this through sitting in my cage all day, I will be able to write some more about this.

McCain

John McCain tonight seemed in his own once again in his most gracious and classy exit from his candidacy for the presidency. McCain seemed almost relieved (this bunny is not saying he was relieved he lost, but feels like he was relieved to finally be in his own element again without advisers telling him to act in several different ways). His concession was very gracious and reminded bunnies and humans alike of the John McCain of old. While Mr. McCain surely feels disappointment tonight, this bunny feels he has lived up to the reputation he has earned as one of the truly great Americans this country has seen.

This bunny would like to give an ear flap to John McCain.

Markets and Obama

The Asian markets seem to agree with the American people.

Update: Or not.

Creative

At least these guys didn't just say the same old ignorant garbage. They got creative...

Free election coffee

So when Dad got home and let me out (I can not reach the door knob) I took a stroll down to the local starbucks. Sure enough, they have free election coffee if you ask. Coffee tastes even better when it is free (Some naysayers will say "Hops, you cannot vote. You said you can't register until two years" and while these naysayers are technically correct, I used my fake ID to fool the starbucks employees). Everyone should get your free election coffee because election day is almost Christmas, except better because it falls like a leap year.

If Virginia goes blue, it will be because the sky has fallen on it (Good thing my friends live underground in burrows)

This bunny is nervous about Virginia. As I follow early morning polling, it seems as if all hell is breaking loose with polling in Virginia. Bunnies for Obama in VA has moved into action. I am trying to get some more info from rabbits with paws on the ground in VA. Sadly, most of their burrows don't have wifi and they lose wireless signal underground. Others are too busy to talk. If I hear anything, I will keep you updated.

Keeping it classy

As Momma Hops once told me,

"Hops, you need to remember to have class when you are leavin' the pumpkin patch"

Glad to see Sarah is steppin' it up a notch.

On the other paw, this is a very apt summation of the Obama campaign found over at Politico.

Im sure glad John

Has Obama right where he wants them!!! Check out the win percentage.

A Bunny's Big Day

Tomorrow is it! The big day is here. I am blogging right now while I prepare the chicken wings for my party!!!!. It is getting pretty hot in here. But while I am doing this, I am going to go ahead and call the election for Barry Obama. I may even begin to gloat!!!!

As far as my call goes, I will be conservative and say that Barry gets at least 340 electoral votes and wins by >5% of the popular vote. I have been following Pollster and RCP all day (since dad forgot to leave my cage open, ughhh that really fluffs my fur!!!!). The tide of change has seemed to remain constant. Since I am a bunny, and bunnyism is far worse than racism these days (we are legitimate pets damn it!), I am going to say we will not see a Bradley Effect and likely will see a voter turnout that is far more expansive than the pollsters have based their prediction on. Watch out for those youths. Well, I need to get back to the wings, so let this bunny hop aboard the change train with her prediction. Tomorrow will be a celebration like no other!!!!

Unfortunate News

This is really sad and unfortunate.

Obama's Stance the Really Grinds My Teeth

Obama's stance on gay marriage is taken for simple political expediency, as this article insinuates. This bunny is annoyed by this stance Obama has taken, despite being a big supporter. This bunny finds it hard to believe that Barry does not cringe every time he has to say:

"I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that's not what America's about. Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don't contract them."

Barry, you have it in the bag, grow a spine on this issue. Bunnies throughout the nation are hoping you will eviscerate the bunnyism that faces us every day, including discrimination saying we are not real pets, are boring, and are dumb. How are you going to do that for us when you can't even stand up for your fellow humans!!!!

Some business and enterprises humor...

While Dad was reading his IP reading, I decided to page through his cases in Business and Enterprises. I came across this passage and, although sort of sad, it made my ears fly up. Unfortunate wording, perhaps, by the judge. Here it is:

"In effect, the purported loans were simply misappropriations by the two sons. After the discovery of the misappropriations and the consequent insolvency of the corporations, Mrs. Pritchard died."

Poor Mrs. Pritchard. This tale is almost as fun as last year when I spent 3 weeks figuring out the facts of Pennoyer v. Neff. Speak of tying your ears in a knot.

And on the 7th day...

Bunnies rest. That is not totally true; however, I have been really busy today preparing for my election party and rallying the troops in "Bunnies for Obama". I don't know if I am going to be able to prepare any food for the election party because I have been putting so much time into "Bunnies for Obama". However, I hope to have something. Dad still needs to take me to the store. I would like to make chicken wings, but I don't know if I will have to time to chase down and kill all those chickens. Anyway, at the very least, I hope Dad will have enough time to put out a vegetable spread with dip. I still hope everyone comes!!!

David Sedaris on Undecideds

Dad has some David Sedaris books. I really enjoy his writing and dry sense of humor. He has an interesting piece in the New Yorker about undecided voters and who they are. Hang in there until the end. It is worth it. I almost laughed my tail off.

Ear flap to the big O-W for the article.

Wilco

One of my favorite bands, Wilco, was on Colbert the other night. They played a song called Wilco- the Song. The title was fashioned after Joe- the Plumber. I don't get why humans go around calling things by their first name, followed by a hyphen, followed by their occupation. The performance was decent but not as good as some of the live shows I have heard. I am well suited for listening to music because my ears are so large. I like Wilco because they produce so many sounds to listen too. They also produce pretty decent rhythm to which I can tap my paw. Well, here is a youtube clip of the performance. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Dinner Time

For all you herbivores out there, this post is for you. As I have observed on my trips to the store with dad, food prices are starting to get out of control. Since I am not a skilled blogger to bring any income in, and dad is poor, this presents some problems for my consumption of greens. (Parsley is up to 89 cents a bunch now). That is why I am going to start growing my own greens. Not only is it fun, but its cheap and good for the environment. For all you rabbits out there, you really need to get in on the ground level of this booming bunny agriculture industry. For all you humans, I realize this is old hat, but I hear that it is more fulfilling to eat something you have grown yourself or killed with your bare hands (Hey humans, Leave those rabbits alone!).

My Pad and Set Up

In the spirit of election season, and the candidates fully disclosing everything from their lives, their health records, their tax records, to their associations and affiliations, I thought it only fair that I disclose my set up. I hope this will dispell any rumors that I am not actually blogging (Dave!!). It is a sweet set up. The shelf dad put into my cage to hold my laptop (that damn PoS Gateway! I will be asking my cousin, the infamous easter bunny, for a new one) is perfect height so that I that I can quickly and effectively touch the keys with my paws without getting paw tunnel syndrome. This is especially important because it is very hard to get bunny insurance today due to the relative increase in prices and the expansive "preexisting conditions" that I have. This is where all my posting occurs. Let me know what you think.

To Be Young and Have Fun

I used to love to do this when I was just a bunny; however, the stakes were so high and MaMa bun would always catch me stealing her cell phone in the burrow.

Ughhh

This really ruffles my fur. I am so sick of these nut job humans making things up and thus giving perfectly rationale female rabbits like me a bad name.

My First Post as a Rabbit Blogger

This is my first post as a rabbit blogger. Dad has set up his old PC for me (sadly it is sort of shitty and runs slow. I want a mac because it is a fat superior piece of equipment). I will now try to blog daily on all different things that tickle my tail. I think I can provide a unique perspective for humans out there who have always wondered what the rabbbit's in their lives are thinking. So welcome to my blog and please stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Your Rabbit Blogger,

Hops
